We booked a family room (two double beds) for 1 night and the room was excellent value for money. The hotel is at the edge of the traditional area and is large, modern and comfortable - very predictable. Yes, you have to pay extra to use the rooftop pool. We spent almost as much to use the pool as the cost of the room! The 2024 hotel guest rate to use the pool is 18,000KRW (off peak), 23,000KRW (semi-peak - when we visited in June), 30,000KRW (peak season). I think non-hotel guest charge is 50,000KRW. There did not seem to be a time limit of two hours, we entered at 4pm and were told we could stay until it closed at 9pm (there did seem to be limits on re-entry though). The pool and pool area are nice. There were chairs and some sun loungers free to use. Lovely views over the village. If you don't wish to use the pool, the room only is great value. If you want to use the pool, factor in the additional costs into the room rate and enjoy!

The room was well furnished. Most of all we appreciated the safe and the two pillows. There was also a large TV in the room. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool and a spacious two new looking saunas in the basement. One for women and one for men. The sauna was anything between 70-80 degrees. There are a couple of sights right near the hotel, so as tourists we didn't have to travel too far. All we had to do was walk out of the hotel and start exploring the varied streets of the adjacent village. Some of them had the occasional performance, and in some we found things like a museum of soju rice liquor production.

Check in literally took one minute, not sure why people complained about this. Huge room by any standards with spacious bathroom, shower and hallway wardrobes. Desk to work at or put on makeup was useful. The single beds were almost as big as the double bed! Easy to drive to with basement parking- very convenient. Very nice to have a screened window to let fresh air into the room- Korean hotels don’t seem to allow you to control the room temperature which we found with plastic mattress liners and polyester quilts to make for hot sleeping, so the cool night air really helped!

Large rooms overlooking the traditional Hanok houses with plenty of space to open our luggage. Big bathrooms with amenities and separated shower and toilet area to keep the area dry. The lobby was large and connected to the hanok houses through the back door, which made it convenient to explore. The staff was friendly and helped to store luggage when we arrived before check-in time.

Perfect location and... perfect view! You wake up in the morning looking above the whole Hanok Village and if you are lucky with the weather, you can even see the sunset on the village :-D Very comfortable room, bed and chairs. Friendly staff. It all contributed to make our stay in Hanok Village very pleasant.
